A wall that once carried a keypad, a thermostat and a scene plate now carries one.
Lusso is drawn around a single idea: the room should hold fewer objects, not more. Where a conventional installation spreads control across three or four plates, Lusso consolidates them into one surface — and because the labelling is rendered rather than cut into metal, that surface can be redrawn without being remade.
FEATURES
Lighting, curtains, scenes and climate resolve into a single surface. Up to twelve commands are assigned per plate and arranged across pages.
Function names are rendered on the surface. Nothing is engraved into the metal, so a room can be relabelled after handover — a change in commissioning, not a reorder from the factory.
The surface stays dark and quiet. Presence detection brings it up as a hand comes near, and it returns to dark when the room is left.
The 3.2 format keeps physical keys alongside the rendered surface, and labels them on screen. A guest who has never seen the plate before still knows where to put their thumb.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Three material families, each finished differently, each carried across every product in the collection.
Copper and hand-worked aluminium, finished plate by plate. The material carries its own grain, and a wall of Lusso surfaces reads as a set of related objects rather than a run of identical ones.
A super-matt surface that resists fingerprints and recovers from superficial micro-scratches under heat. Very low light reflectivity, and almost no glare on a wall lit from one side. Made by Arpa Industriale in Piedmont.
The touch control plate is cut from T6 aviation-grade aluminium, flat-ground, zircon sand-blasted and CNC-finished. The 1.9 and 3.2 surfaces are CNC-carved and surface-treated.
